Author Guidelines

JOURNAL INQUIRY WRITING STANDARDS


A. General Provisions
1. The material should have relevance to the field of psychology, especially related to Indonesia
2. The manuscript contained in the Inquiry Journal has not been published in any journal or mass media
3. Material of each title must be intact, not continuous
4. Each author shall only be entitled to publish a single article in the same edition, unless it is contained in a different section, or if the position in the first article as the first author while in the second article as the second author

B. Journal Materials
Research, book review, theoretical review, or theoretical innovation in the field of psychology or human behavior.

C. General Provisions of Script Writing
1. The manuscript is written in accordance with the provisions of the American Psychological Association (APA)
2. The script is accompanied by abstract Indonesian and English Language each abstract consists of 250 words
3. The flow of manuscripts is arranged as follows:
a. The results consist of: Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, Closing
b. The results of the theory / book review: Introduction, Review results and Closing
4. Manuscript typed A4 paper and space 1.5, Time News Roman, font 11.
5. Maximum number of pages 20 including bibliography
6. Include authors' biographies, including addresses, phone numbers, and emails that can be contacted.

ABSTRAK

(abstract is written in Indonesian and English language, maximum of 250 words, one paragraph of background research, research method, the research results, and also keywords of a maximum of five words)

INTRODUCTION

The introduction includes:

  • The research background has to be brief and detail
  • Various theories or conceptual explanations of the research variables
  • Researches that are fundamental to the research
  • Research objectives and purpose

RESEARCH METHOD

The research method includes:

  • A review of the research method
  • Research participant
  • Research instrument
  • Research procedure
  • Data research method

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

The result and discussion includes:

  • All the data related to the research
  • Result discussion of the research
  • Previous studies that support or contradict towards the research

SUMMARY

Summary includes matters regarding to the conclusions of the research and suggestion for the next research. Suggestions are given based on the research findings as well as the lack of findings in the research.

REFERENCES

This section only includes the references that are significant, therefore references that are in this section will be found written on the previous sections. The written systematics includes:

  • In alphabetical order
  • It does not have to be categorized based on books, journals, newsletter, or
  • other types of publications.

If the references are written from an article from the internet:

If the references are written from a newsletter/ magazine:

Writers name (last name first, then first name and so on). (date, month, and year of publication). Title. Newsletters name.

WRITING CONDITIONS:

  • Writings are the results of a research
  • The research is written using a standard and official Indonesian language, in which each foreign word are translated into a standard Indonesian language, and does not need to include any foreign languages.
  • Sentences that are taken from a foreign language must be translated to a standard Indonesian language.
  • References based on rules (writing and dates) only include the writers last name and the year (example: Kotler, 2000) and please cross checked it with the appropriate bibliography.
  • Do not use footnote
  • Scientific research is sent based on this format:

-          Use a A4 size paper

-          Margins layout is 1” or 3cm

-          1.5 space

-          In the form of 1 column (standard, column isn’t necessary)

-          Cambria font, size 11 (except the Title)

-          All kinds of formulas are written using a Mathematical Equation (for those who use Microsoft Word are in the Insert=> Equation, section), including fractions, Zigma, Roots, Matric, Integral, Limit/Log, Exponent, etc.

-          All types of symbols must use a standard symbol available in the Word Processor ( those who use Microsoft Word, are in the Insert=> Symbol, section)

-          The schematic table title and images are written in the center, title case, with a range of 1 space from it. The word “Table” or “Image” with its number is placed in its own row. The table title is placed above the table (before the table) and the image title is placed beneath the image (after the image). The sources information is placed below the table and image (center of the image and aligned the table using a 10 pt size). In the image section, the sources information is placed after the image title with a range of 1 space. Words inside the table use a 10 pt size.
