Tren Perilaku Emotional Trading di Indonesia: Analisis Harga SahamTerhadap Dampak Boikot Produk Pro-Israel
Abstract
The Israel-Palestine conflict, marked by its long-standing history and intricate political context, has triggered diverse responses globally, notably in Indonesia. This research delves into the phenomenon of emotional trading behavior in Indonesia concerning the boycott of products associated with Israel amid the Israel-Palestine conflict. Through a quantitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes the stock market responses to the boycott actions and political events related to the conflict. Utilizing secondary data from the Indonesian Stock Exchange, the study focuses on five companies: PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk, PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk, PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk, and MAP Boga Adiperkasa Tbk, all of which faced boycott calls due to perceived ties to Israel. Findings reveal fluctuations in stock prices during the study period, particularly following intensified boycott movements. The research underscores the influence of emotional factors, such as political sentiment and social solidarity, on investor decisions in stock trading related to companies embroiled in international controversies. By exploring these dynamics, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the nexus between political conflict, market behavior, and consumer sentiment in Indonesia.Downloads
